Site of a tower house or pele at Bingley documented by Whitaker, noted by Cathcart King. (PastScape)

Whitaker seems to only quote Dodsworth as saying "a castle near the church on a hill called Baily Hill" and that little more than the name and tradition survive. King definitely calls this a tower but no description is given of the form of Dodsworth castle and it may well be King was making a presumption about the form. King's tower is most likely a reference to Bingley Bailey Hill /p>

Gatehouse Comments

Speight reports the find of traces 'an ancient wall' 50 yards east on the chapel (this being, presumably, one of the two mortuary chapels in the cemetery)
