Circular mound situated in Shobdon Park, south of the church. It has been described as a small motte, or possible belvedere mount connected with Shobdon Court. Excavation carried out by the Birmingham University Field Archaeology Unit in 1977/78 revealed a large central hollow and fifteen post holes in the disturbed upper surface, possibly representing the foundations of a post-mill. A wood-lined well or pit was identified in the northeast area. (PastScape)
