Turret Tump, a motte situated upon a hilltop with commanding views particularly to the E and S. The motte, constructed of earth and stone, is 5.0m high, and has a base diameter of 30.0m. The summit is 12.0m in diameter. On the S side is a ditch, 4.0m wide, 0.3m deep, with an outer bank, 4.0m wide and 1.3m high externally. There are no traces of ditch or bank on the other sides which fall within a different field. The motte is grass-covered with some trees on it and is in good condition. (PastScape ref.
