A large hollow and an embankment has been suggested as representing a motte and bailey castle. Court Farm is of seventeenth-century date. (Shoesmith)
Members of the archaeology section of the Woolhope Club noticed a large hollow (former moat?) and embankment (possible bailey?). Did Court Farm once possess some sort of defence? (Herefordshire SMR)
