Penchford, possible bastle remains. The remains of a range of buildings, largely much ruined and under grass except for 19th century farm buildings at the north-east end. Building at south-west end shows lower part of south quoin, with three massive blocks of bastle character (F1 PFR 27-JUL-1990).
Building and enclosure, 10m long by 6m wide. Single storey stone-built agricultural building, heavily repointed and repaired. Backed by a stone-walled enclosure, 17m by 20m. May be associated with possible footings of a post-medieval structure to the north, which measures 8m long by 4m wide by 0.35m high. The latter structure comprises a rounded and disturbed stone and earth bank (UNLUAU 1996). (Northumberland HER)
