Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust record of ? medieval castle reads 'Remains of a strong rectangular enclosure measuring 90 yards by 45 yards and aligned north-east to south-west protected on three sides by steep natural slopes and on west by a ditch and bank and producing a large quantity of stone which was subsequently used for building when ploughed (Hamer, E., 1868; Davies, D. 1857). No such feature visible to OS 1978 Feature possible destroyed. Possible mis-siting and duplication of PAR 1845. Note also aerial photo mark (Supposedly of natural origin) at SN99868966 - see PAR 6293).'
